Affiliates may have a website or blog where they will promote their merchant's product or service. They have a choice of using a banner or a text link that the merchant provides. Once a customer, who is visiting the affiliate's website or blog, clicks on the banner or text link, then the customer is sent directly to the merchant's website.
There is no limit on the number of merchants that an affiliate can promote at one time. Something to consider when promoting merchants is to not overload your website or blog to the point that the affiliate banners or text links distract from your content.
There are a lot of companies out there that allow you to become an affiliate. Some of the best ones are ClickBank and PayDotCom.
